Survival tip

“Il dolce far niente” (pronounced dohl-chay far nee-en-teh) is an Italian phrase translating to “the sweetness of doing nothing.” It represents the art of finding joy and contentment in pure, guilt-free idleness—such as people-watching, sipping coffee, or sitting in the sun—rather than being constantly productive. This cultural concept promotes mental clarity, relaxation, and mindfulness, serving as a counter-approach to modern, hustle-driven lifestyles.

Quedarse tranquilo. Do something when it is necessary but most of the time quedate tranquilo. It makes more sense saying it in Spanish. Stay out of trouble. One of the reasons I made it to age 47 is because yo me quedo tranquilo and because I drink a lot of water and I try to live a healthy life style. A la gente les pasan cosas mala porque no se quedan tranquilo. Why jump from a building to another? You can fall and break a leg, I've seen it happen. And did you know that when a person doesn't stay still could indicate that person has a mental disorder?
