A walk for peace

Buddhist monk Phra Ajarnh Maha Dam Phommasan, 52, had his left leg amputated after being struck by a pickup truck in Texas on Nov. 11, 2025, during a "Walk for Peace" from Texas to Washington D.C.. The incident near Dayton involved a driver hitting an escort car, which then hit the monks.
