Yogi

The Bhagavad Gita explicitly recommends becoming a yogi, calling it the highest path for spiritual development and self-realization. Krishna urges Arjuna to be a yogi (6.46), defining it as one who performs actions without desire for results, manages the mind, and constantly links with the Divine.

Becoming a yogi means more than just doing physical yoga poses. Traditionally, a yogi is a person who dedicates their life to self-discipline, inner peace, and spiritual understanding through the philosophy of Yoga. The classical path was described by the sage Patanjali in the text Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.
