War over water?!!!!!!

There was a significant water dispute between the Sakyas and Koliyas over the Rohini River during the Buddha's life, which he famously intervened to stop, preventing a bloody war by appearing between the armies and preaching peace, highlighting that life is more valuable than water. The conflict escalated from a quarrel between farmers over irrigation water during a drought to armies mobilizing, but the Buddha's presence and discourse on the worthlessness of conflict over such a small resource resolved the crisis, leading to shared water channels and peace.
