Money

A black girl asked me for 50 cents and I gave her a dollar instead. After that she kept asking me for money. I used to give her a dollar every time she asked me. I told her not to tell anyone that I was giving her money, she told other people in the community and they started asking me for money also. One day when I took the elevator a young black guy tried to rob me. I don't know if it was because she told other people in the community that I used to give her money. 

There are several moments where Jesus tells someone not to tell others about a miracle, yet they do it anyway. This is often called the “Messianic Secret.”

One clear example

In Mark 1:40–45, Jesus heals a man with leprosy and says:

“See that you say nothing to anyone.”

But the man goes out and tells everyone, spreading the news so widely that Jesus can no longer enter towns openly.
